Living in Valparaiso



Valparaíso Region is a reflection of the chilean diversity. Viña del Mar, modern and sophisticated, with its malls, landscaped gardens, its spacious beaches and profusion of buildings, is the ideal place for modern living. Valparaiso, port like and bohemian, brings us back to a glorious past and its rebirth as World Heritage City. Concón and the coastal border to the north is a nature and sea route, to the beaches of Maitencillo, Cachagua and Zapallar, places of renowned beauty. Inland, the countryside landscape, the agriculture and the export area of of fruits and flowers cultivation.

A student´s day

A student who lives in the region has a great integration with the city, for the moves made between the accommodation place and its university. The geographic and urban conformation of the area, a waterfront surrounded by hills, prevented the creation of a single higher education district as it exists elsewhere in the world. The entities are dispersed- mostly within the city- but the short distances, make easy transfers from one point to another.

Hosting Prices and Services

Residentials have prices between $120,000 and $ 250,000 per month (U.S. $240 – $500 per month) and can be hired for 10 months/year. The basic elements that these accommodations provide are private or shared rooms, private or shared bathrooms, cable TV, Wi-Fi, different options of food, grooming, laundry and kitchen service to prepare your food if you want to; refrigerators and shared cabinets so that each guest has a space to store its food and drinks.
